Pelts and I used to abuse the "Family Circus" daily. It's such an easy target! We kept them on the fridge, and sometimes forgot to take them down when nieces and nephews came over. He is a brilliant artist, and I am a capable writer. It was either/or generally. I suggest you try your hand at it. My favorite had Billy coming out of the bedroom, holding his butt with both hands. I think the original was something about getting spanked, but I re-captioned it to "Daddy put his thingie in my fanny!" ... I guess being there makes it funnier.... There used to be a website dedicated to this sort of Bil Keane destruction, but the man had it shut down, and left only a smug comment inspiring us that much more.
Wouldn't it have been great if a couple of times a year they would have published something like this just to mix it up!!!! I can't even remember why I searched for this or why I remember this panel from the 60s. it was great for a chuckle laugh - thanks - the Wildman
goota love that collection---fukin awesum!! wish they would do sum reality 'love is'--like love is fucked!! love is for losers--or love is over rated, love is misused, get jiggy with the real love! romantic love is for the economy/boosting retail/politicians/created for religion to look good & anything else that is hypocritical & money making!! what is love then? it is a connection (definetly not a sexual one!!) it is history made together. giving each other their space to allow them to grow. letting go (as you would a child to adulthood) accepting the ideosycracies of every person in yr life. friendship. respect. non-judgemental. it is most definetly NOT sex! sex is an attraction & is a by product of the whole love thing. it is most definetly easier to love a person without fukin them & it is longer lasting too. so there u have my comment!!!
